Welcome to my website...

I am a Ph.D. student in Quantitative Marketing at Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University, and will be on the 2025–26 academic job market.

I study platform economics and market structure empirically using applied econometrics and machine learning. My work focuses on the sharing economy, where I analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data to understand how platform design influences user behavior and competitive dynamics. My dissertation includes two essays: one investigates the impact of image manipulation in short-term rental markets, and the other examines coalition-based network integration in the traditional taxi industry following the rise of ride-sharing platforms. Across projects, I emphasize credible identification strategies and scalable computational methods.

Before joining Syracuse, I earned my master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Optimization, from Sharif University of Technology. I also ranked first in Iran’s national graduate program entrance exam, and placed among the top ten in the national Industrial Engineering Scientific Olympiad.
